Myself And I Poem by Jessica Gabanyic

Myself And I

Here's to the new me, and out with the old,
The new me will contain fifty pounds of self-confidence,
For all the situations I wish I've had it before,
This new me will also embrace two pound of beaming granite slate,
-For a new beginning

Section one would be titled: Creating a Shameless Wall.
Writing a paper off of what I learned, sharing the shame instead of Holding it all, and letting go with a final goodbye.

Section two would be called: Embracing the Thought That Counts. Letting myself walk the path of meaning, finding positivity within The forest of self-worth, and letting the positivity fill me with Love,

Section three would be titled: Seeing from Others Eyes.
Being able to listen to others,
Seeing what they feel through open eyes,
And giving meaning to my apologies,

Section four would be called: Giving it a Tune.
Giving my voice less sarcasm,
Giving it a tune and letting it be heard from many ears,
Having a soft rhythmic tune that can be carried for miles,

Section five would be shown as: Just be You.
Letting my mistakes guide me,
Showing me the adventure of learning,
Giving me a chance to carry less guilt on my shoulders,

Last but not least Section six will be bolded as: Tearing Apart the Person I have Known and Throwing it in an Empty Field.
Walking away from the bits and pieces of my broken self, and Gathering the new things that others will like more,
Being mixed with spices and herbs that my God has chosen,
And saying that the new me has this affection
For kind hearted and long lasting love,

I would also like to include with my last section: The Hopes I Wish To fulfill,
They no longer look raven black and deep burgundy red,
However they are filled with a soothing mint green and ocean blue,
Brighter and creative like the graffiti that covers wall papers and Drawings which are close to my heart.
