No More Than Lust Poem by Nicole Silvia

No More Than Lust

Rating: 5.0

You leave me shocked and flustered
As if I've been sleepwalking the times
I've gathered all that I could muster
And still, I hang for another's crimes

What fear has gripped you?
Pulled you away?
Or is the horrid truth
Exactly as you say?

How could I have read you so wrong?
Misread your smile? Misread your kiss?
Alas! No tears, no regrets, for my heart is strong
But what part of this tale did I miss?

If you long for me at all
I find it just
It's still hard to believe
You felt no more than lust
