No Negativity - Poem by Michael P. McParland
I will show no negativity
because there's no need to heighten pain.
I will not sling words
I don't mean at ones I love,
because it hurts all involved and
causes greater regret later on.
I've done too much of that
and feel that constant torture
within my heart.
Nor is it a heart of black,
I'm just a man who's made mistakes,
I always try to do the best I can.
Like all other human beings I have my bad moments
and I will eternally apologize for that.
No negativity anymore.
I only want and care to show my love,
I hope and pray you know it's true
and feel the intent of my heart too.
I have bad moments and I am human just the same,
please forgive me because
I forgive and love you more than you will ever know.
