As I rise
through the ashes of life
I open my eyes
ready to fight
Look into my eyes
see no lies as I say
I can not be defeated
I will fight you
anyway you want me to
but beware I will defeat you
feel the power of positivity
running through my mind
I will defeat you

I agree with Valsa ji, though it's not that easy but one can always hope for the best!
We have to wage an eternal battle to subdue negativity...! Bitter experiences tend to make us pessimistic.... but through fighting spirit and indefatigable will, we have to overpower our enemy and become positive! A fine write! !

A great message here Dave - it is all too easy to fall into negativity when life gets tough, and this is an excellent spur to us all that we can rise above it. Well said and well written. Hope your friend takes it on board.
