No One To Look After Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

No One To Look After

No one to look after

The wind blows in opposite direction
Its effect is seen in human relation
Not only children but relatives even
Inflict injuries on elderly person

They are pushed like dogs
Who can stop this cruelty?
Now court has also intervened
The son, if does not look after well, can be shunned

But this goes unabated
The respect for parents have become outdated
The old aged people are pushed outside home
They are nowhere welcome

Some are shunted from home to an old age home
They are unhappily driven out of home
They curse no one but own fate
Such news are disturbing them lately

This is taking place all over
They are losing cover
No one is there to look after
And take care
