No Shelter For A Sparrow Poem by Philip Dodd

No Shelter For A Sparrow

Rating: 4.5

Worst is when you want to cry
when there is no reason.
It's just a summer passing by,
like any other season.

Best is when you want to be
where you are forever.
Though what will come you cannot see,
some ties will never sever.

First you wish for happiness,
for heaven every day,
to live in bliss and nothing less,
pray for love to come and stay.

Last you have your memories,
the beauty of the swan,
the peace that blows in with the breeze,
till the time you had has gone.

When you climb the mountainside,
the path high and narrow,
you will leave where no tears are dried,
no shelter for a sparrow.

A lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with depth of insight. A philosophical poem written in poetic diction with conviction. I like the rhyme scheme of the piece. Indeed, there is no shelter for a sparrow. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
