No Thumb For Me - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

No Thumb For Me - Lincoln Park Zoo

A colobus monkey am I,
New born at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
Not sure yet if a gal or guy,
In time humans will get a clue.
Mom is taking great care of me
In the Primate House we call home.
I'm filled with curiosity,
Watching the humans beyond roam.
I hear that colobus is Greek
For a monkey without a thumb.
Look close and I'll give you a peek.
But don't ask me to say how come.

Do visit me and we'll have fun.
I'd give thumbs up if I had one.
