The night is cold
The crickets are chirping
It's too dark to see
The wind blows eerily
Fear visits for a moment
Sudden barking makes me jump
A horse neighs in fright
Silence
The wind stops abruptly
I listen intently
It begins to rain
I lie down and close my eyes
Droplets hypnotize me into relaxed slumber
I sleep
