Noisy Children, Under The Guests' Feet Poem by james watkin

Noisy Children, Under The Guests' Feet

When not saying the wrong thing
As in speaking one's mind
They think it's silly; playacting.
Or strangely unfamiliar
To so let be as confined
In box, peculiar.

Impressing, out of character.
To fit in; in fear's haste!
Politely insincere kind
Of life; mocked from down low.
This table-talk to one's taste
Served up, all for show!
