Nomadic Love Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Nomadic Love

She is a complacent star
Always shooting off
Into the vast unknown
Sometime empty
Other times chaotic
Always desperate
For a different place to roam

A galactic warrior she is
Fighting each warp speed thought
While searching for all time lost
Worrying that her conscience
Will never be cleared
But what did she ever do?
Just kept blaming herself
For uncontrollable situations

Restless, so many sleepless nights
Burdened by the guilt
That should have never existed
Always persistent
In giving attention
To wishful excursions
Leading her
Over working herself
Into the dread
Of her own plight

Unbeknownst to her
She went above and beyond
Shined beyond space and time
Lighting every dimension
Beyond all comprehension
Comforting alien souls
Once abandoned
And left all alone

In fact
She created a constellation
From her own blood, sweat and tears
With empathy and compassion
Fearlessly punching all problems out
All in the name of love

She is a complacent star
Always striving for a purpose
Making sure other stars
Never experience
Any of the pain burdened against her
Own best intention
The war
Perhaps far from over
But I know
Her and her constellation
Will keep on strong
In the universal sense
Of it all

She was love all along
Nomadic love
Always trying
To find her way home

In the hearts
Of her own
She will do her best
To grow strong
And help
Every last star
That she could ever help
Even if it means
She has to eventually fade away

To her
Love is worth all the sacrifice
For all the stars
Trying to shine on
Beyond any darkness
That tries to dim all hope
In the name of love
The divine whole
Of everything and all

She is and will always be
Nomadic Love

Always, forever to beyond
Till love finds a home

And then
She will go beyond
Further than
She has gone before

She is love
