Not At Once, As In Great Shock Poem by james watkin

Not At Once, As In Great Shock

Not at once, as in great shock
A great cleft in earth, that leaves
But tremor on tremor gave way
His World, now of age bereaves.

Not running, to bold renounce
As with winds roaring behind
But with nerve faltering were left
Green places, grey clouds did find.
