Not For You, Not For Anyone, Just….
Done
I am done
Done with pain
Finished with abuse
Tired
I am tired
Tired in my soul
Exhausted emotionally
Alone
I am alone
Alone and happy
By myself and no one else
Drained
I am drained
Drained of all feeling
Weak but somehow surviving
Here
I am here
Here and strong
Now at this time and fierce
Confident
I am confident
Confident that I need no other
Sure that I do not require you nor anyone else
Myself
I am myself
Myself with out denial
Me, I am all I have
Fighting
I am fighting
Fighting for peace
Struggling for what is right
This and no longer will
I bow to those
Who deserve it not.

the consistent form in each stanza, the variation, repetition and embellishment of the theme of each emotion give this piece a lot of dignity and credibility for me.
