Not Going To Be Poem by Ivory Strife

Not Going To Be

Me and you.
Just like Juliette and Romeo.
With a love we cannot show and none can know.
You've got a girlfriend that you just can't leave,
and I can't let you go, I'm too naïve.
Sneak out at dawn,
I have you back before she knows you're gone.
You kiss me, hold my body, and during that time there's nowhere else I'd rather be.
But the rest of your 21 hours I spend wishing you were here.
Though there isn't a thing I wouldn't do for you my dear,
I can't do this anymore.
I'm tired of battling what I feel and what is right like world war.
I'm tired of wondering if I'm really just your play toy or your pride and joy.
I'm tired of asking myself if you really do care or if I'm just another meaningless affair.
But most of all, I'm tired of being tired.
You say you love me, then why is she still in this equation?
In this complicated love story,3's become a crowd and one of us doesn't belong.
It's not you, it's not her, it's me.
And I'm sorry to see,
We're not going to be.
