Watching the billowing smoke
Rise to the sky
Depart from the ground
As I say goodbye
To the pain you implanted
Into my heart
But I can't blame you
I was a fool from the start
So I gathered the pieces
And I'm placing them back
And It isn't easy
But I'm on the right track
I'm learning to love
Myself and others again
And forget all about you
Because only then
Will I find someone else
As perfect as you
But someone who will love me
Something you couldn't do
Because although you were
Like the sun in my sky
The one thing that was missing
Was that you weren't mine
