Not Time Yet Poem by Hopeless Heart

A world without eyes
A world filled with lies
Truth hidden deep
Never spoken, not a peep

Fear lacing everyday
Mountains of words you cannot say
Hearts that deceive themselves
Kept cold behind self made cells

Hold your breath and wait
Darkness, silence makes it safe
Ignorance doesn’t make it change
Just keeps the same page

As the days grow dark and old
Your heart grows cold
Memories and dreams you once had
Now just make you sad

Life is just how it is
It’s not something you can miss
Open your eyes and breathe
It’s not time yet, for you to leave.
