How much down the memory lane?
I do not know yet it is lovely and fine
Old childhood days rush on mind
It is lovely and fresh to find
What kind of insistence with mother!
For not going to school and offer
All excuses with childish reasons
Mother knew it from the start as kind person
Father may laugh it out
But watch keenly and not talk about
Sister may not take any side
I shall try to go near and confide
Such beautiful scene still floods
It was all taught for good
I did rise to good position today
It was due to parents anyway
The married life has seen all ups and down
Some of the qualities are already known
When children come with same excuses
I smile with stiffness but do not refuse
I love their innocence
It is mere pretense
To stay at home and enjoy
I too find it great with joy
The life is not too hard
But a way to find course forward
It has nice mixture of human feeling
I always welcome it and almost willing
