Not Too Late To Love Poem by April Humason

Not Too Late To Love

She chased the colors of a broken sky,
Looking for peace that passed her by.
Her laughter slowly turned to ash,
Lost in storms that moved too fast.

She wasn't weak — she was in pain,
Trying to silence the thunder rain.
I saw the tears behind her smile,
But walked away, just for a while.

Now I carry her inside my prayer,
A whispered name, a holy care.
Not blame, not shame, not bitter truth —
Only love that outlives youth.

If I could turn the hands of time,
I'd cross the lines, I'd change the rhyme.
I'd stand beside her in the night,
And tell her she was made of light.

God knows the heart that broke that day,
He heard the words I didn't say.
So now I lift her to His grace,
And trust His love to fill that space.
