Not Too Simple Poem by Silence Dogood

Not Too Simple

She puts on the glasses
one more time
she tightens the brakets
says she's fine.

She looks in the mirror
says she's okay.
She tells herself she's beautiful
each and every day

but with glasses and braces.
Belly fat and pimples.
Messy hair and too big nose.
Make things not too simple.
