Not Worth It Poem by Jonathan James

Not Worth It

Why can't you have someone who understands who you are
Someone who can relate the hardships feeling alone
Watching everyone walk by like you never even exist
Unable to sleep at night you just stare at the wall to numb to cry

Are people out there that knows how dark sunny days can truly be
Those who feel no joy on holidays.
Paralyzed with hopelessness, unable to reveal how you feel

How bad is it when suicide doesn't seem like an escape
The mirror shows more pain each and every morning
Another frozen dinner heated up
As you wish yourself another rotten New Year

Tears are cried out as despair is the only thing left to feel
After years was betrayal and disappointments
Death daily mocks you each day when you awake to the misery that is life
The same four walls become a eternal prison

Not even a shell of the soul that you once was looks back at you now
Time grows slower and slower every day as the heart falls deeper
A better life has flipped you off and laughingly traveled on
You can't have a good life and someone to love you
You're not worth it
You're not worth it
Not Worth it at all
