Nothing Poem by Oscar Robles

Nothing

Like an empty glass inside there’s a void
Dead space that can’t be filled
Like time without a future
Dreams that are not real
Thoughts going unannounced
Words spoken but never heard
Wishes made from time to time
The emptiness of one’s word
A sense of touch that goes unnoticed
A longing to feel just one
The burning of your Heart
Sitting long beneath the sun
That’s what I feel when I think of you
Emptiness a cavity of lost hope
Feeling too far gone
All reaching out for the last strand of a rope
There’s nothing there, not one thing
