Nothing Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Nothing

The past I can only dwell on
I will never be the same.
No more smiles, just tears
you are the only one to blame.

Your promises are just words now.
Your love is just a spirit.
Even if you say you are sorry
I do not want to heart it.

An apology cannot heal the scars
and mend a broken heart.
Just leave me alone
you did your part.

Sunsets on the end
as the pain turns numb.
Your controlled love has turned me
into nothing I have become.
