'Nothing Is Unmeant, As Though Nobody Cared' Poem by james watkin

'Nothing Is Unmeant, As Though Nobody Cared'

Today, I take for a sage
Who yesterday, for a sign
Of it, had but this simple
And lovely credulity
We all laughed at to see.

Now that this councidence
Of our happening to each
Gives more than eyes a startle
Of that phrased seriousness
Dear, never could we guess!
