A bottomless pit,
A black, dank abyss,
Turning your head to look at nothing,
Sucking in cold air from nowhere.
Silence, deafness,
Blindness, numbness,
Hanging limply to nothing,
Hands reaching out to no one.
No thoughts running through your mind,
No emotion, leaving your heart still and cold,
Prickles of pain from nowhere,
Offers of help from no one.
If your mind were still alive,
You would wonder where you were,
But your body knows that you are nowhere,
Death has brought you to a world of nothing.
Here you will stay,
Until eternity is over,
But your soul lives on, somewhere,
Hanging on diligently to something.
