November Scenes Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

November Scenes

The colours of leaves upon the trees
Are pleasing to my eyes,
As I drive along the country roads,
Bathed by the sun in cloudless skies.

The November Air is cold and chilled,
A frost lies on the ground,
But in England, the Autumn Leaves
Are Red, Green, Gold and Brown.

The fields some green, some freshly ploughed.
Where once did grow the wheat,
Are being prepared for next year’s crop,
And into furrows very neat.

The hedgerows decked in colours still,
Are not yet strewn with leaves,
For the trees have not shed them yet,
But will become bereft with sleet.

At this time of year, I marvel more
At HIS Creations, yet again,
When the colours of HIS Artistry,
Bring verses to my pen.
