Now A Day Poem by Dhiren Doley

Now A Day

It's already a thousand miles I've traveled
Since my childhood
But definitely not my age which brought changes
I've seen color, emotions and relations changing
Only the stubborn brain I bear cannot get out from the past.
A bizarre present
The future may be even unresembling
My stubborn heart still wants to cry when others say paining
My penniless hands want to open up for any empty look
Charity was neither for paparazzi
Nor for promotion, love alone forced
Foolish I am, I cry in wonder
Where I am, are they the same people I knew
Is it the same world I loved
Prosperity without value!
Is it civilization that makes us selfish?
Or am I too stubborn to be civil?
Now a day death are no longer painful
But delicious news for the morning tea.
Pet are better tamed!
