Now Dead. Poem by Kathryn Garner

Now Dead.

Rating: 4.0

Tears are from the pain
Onyx skies will bring my rain
That carries you to me.

Drops in which you reside
From heaven to where you died
These tears will tell me truth.

On skin, empty and cold
Breaking with things you never told
Right here with me.

A cage left behind
Without a hope to rewind
And I now know the things
Ill never ask you.

Windows to the soul
Closed, empty, cold
Shielding a desperate glaze
Repressing a hopeless gaze.

Now, my love
You are gone.
Now, my love
All my wrong
Will leave bitter tastes for me
And the apologies I’ll soon bleed
Will never be answered.

From glassy windows
To open gates
All in black,
We question one fate.
So tell me dear,
Did you find beauty
So tell me dear,
Did you lose me
After you drew away.

Tears tell me your there
To wash the burden I now bare
Tear to pieces
Let me know misery from memory.
