Now Every Day I Feel A Weight Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Now Every Day I Feel A Weight

Now every day I feel a weight
I did not feel before
A gloom I did not feel before
A haze I did not before perceive
Ahi! We now are come to this
And we love graves we shunned before
And we love tomb-crosses we disliked before
The cemetery shall be our capital city
And Time our companion in this universe.
