Now Is Our Time - Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Now this is our time to play
the games of life we know,
for just a short while will stay
anything existence can grow.

Minutes like these are gone
into life's unknown while,
to carry its ways on and on
in coming trends and style.

Each day is so much unknown
in everything that it gives,
from under its ways and gown
anything that again revives.

Dreams come and go
all in their special way,
we don't really know
if they come today.
Everything is turning
for the new to old,
we from it are learning
as the years unfold.

Our story of its departing
never to be once more,
life in past that's starting
everything what it is for.

Times are coming easy
in days of spring anew,
life has been so breezy
on its way here through;

But now it's' all changing
going to fresher places,
thoughts anew arranging
when the knots unlaces.

Dreams come and go
all in their special way,
we don't really know
if they come today.
Everything is turning
for the new to old,
we from it are learning
as the years unfold.

Spring dance spring dance
on and on we go,
this is life's stepping trance
in its time of flow.
Everything is always turning
giving its new day,
bridges of old away burning
remains in an ashtray.
