Now You Are Gone Poem by Kathleen West

Now You Are Gone

Rating: 3.0

You are a part of my thoughts
Why can't you leave me alone?
You were a part of my life
And now you are gone

How can I stop thinking of you
When you're so much a part of me
How can I begin to forget
When you torment me even in dreams

All the times you said you loved me
I believed what I was told
It's too bad we weren't meant to be happy
Cause the loss of you feels so cold

It was so easy for you to forget me
My place was so easilly filled
Without as much as a backward glance
Memories of me were stilled

But though I hurt, there's a place in my heart
A place that you cannot touch
And through faith I know, that someday I'll meet
A man who won't break my trust
