Nuclear Hell Poem by Emily Gurdon

Nuclear Hell

</>Smash!
We hear the window smash
and the glass rain upon us
Screams.
We scream as they destroy our home
and all the memories within
Bang!
I watch my young son fall
as he is hit with a fatal bullet

We escape the men inside our home
but are unable to hide the sobs
We continue to run into the night
Until an explosion destroys whats left

We look back and see the Nuclear cloud
reaching for miles around
We could only be glad we had run so far
Lest we die inside the blast

My daughter is hysterical
As her father marches off
He's off to fight in a deadly war
that he has no hope to stop

Now it is just her and I
Inside a bomb proof shell
As we watch so many people
Die in a Nuclear Hell
