How would you feel if sleep never claimed you
Never with excitement but always with pain?
If even when your mind finally drifts
Painful memories rage through your dreams?

How would you feel if you wake up alone
Wishing for just a small ray of hope?
Knowing that no matter what happens
Your life cannot be changed?

How would you feel to be finally free
but wishing that you were not?
To wish for the nightmares return
To escape from the day that is sure to come?

How would you feel to be teased and hit
For something you never did?
To come home each and every night
And know the same lies tomorrow?

How would you feel?
