Numb Poem by Ragy Sandid

Numb

Because of love
I gave it all up
No one to think of
And no one to think up

It was an abyss
That took me to that place
Like a devil's bliss
Skin without a face

All are judges
Every day a trial
No one ever budges
Never a mistrial

Brother sees sharing
As a burden to bear
Burdens his brother with daring
Dares him to compare

What was and what is
And who's the better man
Who has a life to live with
And who has no life span

And lost in between
Is a mother at the end
Trying to finish the scence
And ask each to be a friend

All are numb
As there's nowhere to go
How can on total the sum
of emotions minused in a blow?
