O Material Girls Poem by Anika Shultz

O Material Girls

Material girl O Material girl
you have everything,
i must live without,
Handed to you on a silver plate,
your name, money and future are all decided for you

Unacceptable to wear last seasons Tory Burch flats,
Intolerable to attend any other but an ivy,
Impossible to think, believe or make things different,
with your inherited million dollar fortune,

Oh how i envied you, but i saw the outside,

I did not see your heart, so craving for love and attention,
So hard to earn respect,
When no one takes you seriously,

I thought i know people, you taught me wrong. And right.

I miss the old you, O material girl.
