O' my heart that goes with me behind the ways
of desires with audacity and without thinking,
The youthfulness had gone past in useless manner;
Since the old age also comes along with imminent disease,
Will you come along with me to attain the good abode?

கொன்னே கழிந்தன் றிளமையும் இன்னே
பிணியொடு மூப்பும் வருமால் - துணிவொன்றி
என்னொடு சூழா தெழுநெஞ்சே போதியோ
நன்னெறி சேர நமக்கு.55
