O Son Of God Poem by Isadora Quagmire

O Son Of God

O Son of God, our hope and peace,
You came to set us free.
From Heaven's throne to lowly ground,
You came to rescue me.

You left Your throne and crowned in light,
To bear our sin and shame.
A humble birth, a wondrous gift,
To magnify Your name.

O Holy Child, You came to die,
To bear our every pain.
Your sacrifice, the gift of life,
For us You lived and bore our shame.

In Christ alone, our hearts find rest,
Our refuge from the storm.
You are our Rock, our strength, our shield,
Our Savior, safe and strong.

The cross, the tomb, and risen King,
Our victory and song.
To You we lift our hearts in praise,
To You our lives belong.

O Son of God, we bow in praise,
For You, the Holy One.
Our Savior, born to set us free,
In You, all grace is won.

O Son Of God
