'O' Twinkling Starry Night Poem by Nusrat Perveen

'O' Twinkling Starry Night

'O' twinkling starry night,
hide me in your darkness and guide me by thy light;
For, I want to go with you,
to the land where lies no red, no blue.

To the land where the eyes can't behold the eyes,
and the wings are free to fly.
To the land where death begets life,
and hate begets love;
To the land where smile never dies,
and a heart never cries.

'O' twinkling starry night,
hold me little, let me gather my might;
For, I want to go with you,
to the land where lies no red, no blue.
To the land of souls, where they lie free,
with no gloom to impede their spree.

But wait! 'O' the carrier of moon,
for, I want to make a plea to thine,
to let me be there and not bring me back soon;
for I want to stay and want to wait,
for the soul that will complete the soul of mine,
for, I know it will come, be it early or late.

So,

'O' twinkling starry night!
hide me in your darkness and guide me with thy light,
for, I want to go with you,
to the land where lies no red, no blue.
