Oasis - Poem by Lindsay Crosby

here is a place where poets dream
and the virgin within baths
here is the place where I came to know love
its still an oasis to me

I am here where we as children played
a place I should never want to leave
the license our imagination gave
made us all kings and never did we enslave

time crashed like an accident in my head
age has crept up on me and I’m looking back
there's not to much in my short future to view
all I had I could do with now

death will come but until I breath my last breath
I could not bare not to your feel your presence here
where its always been an oasis to me
