Oblivion Poem by Tracy Hedrick

Oblivion

Rating: 5.0

Take me in your arms;
let me feel your embrace.
Rescue me
from tormented reality;
save me
from broken soul.
Sing to me your siren's song
as I fall prey to you.
Flood my mind with your knowledge
so I may be filled
with the wisdom
of oblivion.

An absolutely pleasant train of thought, well articulated and elegantly brought forth with insight. A lovely poem written from the heart. Thanks for sharing Tracy.

The wisdom of oblivion? Interesting thought...about the meaning of our lives and what we do to fill it and what it 'means' if anything at all. I'm not sure if the speaker is appealing to another person, a god, or mother nature. I like that.
