Obsession - Poem by lovett listowell

There, I saw a man on a stage.
where people have gathered around to listen to his words.
There, i saw a man, telling the peoples the lie
making them jumping for mirage hope.
I love to be like the man on the stage and cloth in
diamond and gold.
I want to be an angle in the eyes of the peoples and take
what belongs them.
I want to be a man of power, like HIM on the stage.
I will tell the people i see their pain
I see it waking up with them.
I will tell them they have been deceived by their leaders
I will tell them i come with change.
They will be glad and embrace each other with love, for change is here.

I love to be like the man in suit
and eat the national cake with both hands.
I love to be like HIM and save in foreign banks
I will make the world paradise for you and me.
I will tell them the lie and they will engage relatives in
endless and bloody war.
I will not be the first to do that
they have done theirs greedy men of Adam.
they took from the poor in spite of their suffering.
With their money they built houses whiles the poor
continue to live in hut, use candle for light
and wood for fire.

They murdered the peoples hope.
They never had them at heart, not even the blind
and the cripple and those who hold up under bridges.

I love to be like the man in suit.
They will see my face but not my side
but deep in me i know who i am.
An ambassador of poverty
with greedy eyes and selfish hands.
I will take from the poor and the rich
For i am an ambassador of poverty in humility suit.
i love to be like the man in suit but i know who i am.
