Dilantha Gunawardana

Ocean - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana

I stood at the water’s edge of love
Waiting to wade in, to be swept away
To the very tide that could sink me
Deep beneath the infinite blue
When I will look through the lens of my soul
To see you dissolving in brine
To a saturated memory

Such beautiful words and imagery... The ocean as a metaphor for love itself.... Beautiful... And dangerous. (Report) Reply
