Ocean Glass Glints Poem by Suzette Richards

Ocean Glass Glints

Ocean glass glints; smooth polished gems
of discarded debris that hems
in flotsam of dreams sharp as flints.
Smooth polished gems, ocean glass glints.

Soft crested waves kiss my bare feet
at edge when I hasten to meet,
counting on you to misbehave;
kiss my bare feet. Soft crested waves.

Many lost dreams; nostalgia glimpse
the Fata Morgana—now limps
in my blighted shadow it seems.
Nostalgia glimpse many lost dreams.

Golden threat seams for broken hearts,
notes to right wrong. Song fit for Arts—
wisps of people's forgotten dreams.
For broken hearts: golden threat seams.

Ocean glass dull, edges worn smooth
by experience borne of truth
out of our sight. Placebos lull.
Edges worn smooth: ocean-glass-dull.
