Among the millions one becomes a legend
adored such are by generations after
Birthdays are celebrated with pomp and gaiety
delivered are sermons by one and all
Imbibe never the qualities they possessed
adopt never the path they showed
Remembered are they only on that day
buried for ever the ideals they stood for
Not an exception even Gandhi the Mahatma
the simple man who shook an empire!
