Ode To 'Footprints In The Sand' - Poem by Saiyuri Oliver

I sit outside in the morning sun
Let its rays wash over me
Cleanse me of the impurities
I am awed by God's amazing power
His love keeps me alive and walking forward
He gives me the strength to never look back
He helps ease my sorrow
I am happy with the path I've chosen
I am calm every morning
My heart doesn't wake me up in a panic
Instead, it allows me to sleep
Wake up peacefully and to rejoice every morning
Yes, I am loved
Not by man nor beast
By the Lord who watches over my steps
It has been written:
The Lord said:
'My precious child, I never left you during your time of trial.
Where you see only one set of footprints it was then I carried you'.
Yes, He carried me
And He set me down safely where He knew I could prosper and grow
Now I walk with the Lord
Forever certain that when I can't anmore
He will keep me safe and bring relief in my hours of turmoil.

Gracias Senor
