I've cried more tears today then when I left my ex
I thought about all my mistakes and failures
And although I wish I've never gone through those experiences
These events all led me to you
Through all the heartaches
I was still blessed with sunshine
With love that fills me and warms me
Reminds me of when your arms are around me
You make me feel safe and loved
For once, I feel like I've earned this
I feel like I deserve to be loved and cared for
I deserve to fall in love without restrictions
I have earned the right to love unconditionally without fear
I'm scared about the future
Not because I doubt you
But because my past is filled with nightmares
Nightmares that I pray will dull with time
I'm worried about changes that I can't control
I'm anxious about details I have to note
I'm stressed...
And through all this your love shines through
You calm me down and make me smile
You take away my worries and fears
And replace it with something better
Love and Sunshine
You chase my clouds away
And in its place, you leave the warmth of a sunny day
