'O famous and enormous hills
sited in an ancient town,
the pride of the sires,
I salute and adore thee.
though, I have long been away from you,
but I will never disdain you.
you are the glory of our land;
the pride of our fore-fathers.
The mother earth was in a vacuum heretofore,
with wisdom, you were created
your presence filled those void places,
fresh and cold is your spring,
gentle is the breeze that surrounds you,
you are covered with lush green vegetation.
Our land is blessed because of you,
you are a hiding place for the baboons;
beneath, our ancient town dwell;
you are the joy of the dwellers.
Anytime I think about you,
the memories come to my mind
the songs we used to sing while climbing,
how can I forget those melodious songs
though, I am now a sojourner in a strange land,
but I yearn to see your face again..

nice poem and I love the poem coz it reminds me the life spent in the town. but I will suggest if the third stanza, line 2 could be adjust. particularly, the word 'baboons' I think it should be a place for safety and that words could be analyse as something else like it is the habitants
