Ode To Love Poem by david z..

Ode To Love

Oh what a love for this tortured soul to bear!
The soaring heights of joy to the lowest abyss of despair.
It taunts and tortures me, I long to be both free of thee and enmeshed in your sweet desire, consumed with in its smoldering fire.

Oh but you do inspire countless dreams and an endless longing.
If I sing a soaring chorus of deserved praise,
May the heavens behold, and such a story be told.
Yet as I ponder these thoughts I see you far away,
What measure of my prose and passioned voice would draw you my way?

You make my heart sing, and sing the sweetest songs I do for you.
You light the heavens with your glow and warm the air around me with your comforting grace.

Thus I remain, most utterly at a loss to try and explain,
How you have enchanted me so.

Yet I strive with humble words and good intent,
To show how much you being you has meant.
