Ode To My Own Disarray, I Salute You Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Ode To My Own Disarray, I Salute You

Praying silent
On a bed of rusty nails
Oblique views
In decayed reality
Ode to my own disarray
I salute you!

Mind bending internal
Unable to break
Standing alone
Face to face with agony
Would rather live a life of agony
Than ever be loved for being fake

Body cold
Left alone
Upon this slab of destiny
A lonely adventure foretold

So much pride
In this flawed life of mine
Ugly to some
Invisible by many
My true existence to a few
Sometimes too little
Sometimes too much
Just never truly know
How I am always perceived

Smiling and smiling
The world disappears
The anthem of the my own universe playing
A terrestrial love
For the welcoming star's transcendence

More than flesh
It's all for the best
Now that I know
They will only care
When something
Superficial benefits them the most

Trial by greedy selection
I am just glad to be the least most!

At the end of it all
At least I would of have always known who I was

Judge me, but will you ever know the person you are?
Or are you too busy playing the role of a smiling
Bobbling your head in front of everyone
Why you die each day within

Look past me
I do not care anymore

I love myself!
More than I have ever loved myself before

All this pain still remains
But I am stronger for keeping it
Storing it deeply for my own life lesson
Teaching me to never forgot
The fight for which I came from

Praying with defiance
As I lay uncomfortable
Visions askew
Festering in reality
Ode to my own disarray
I solemnly salute you!

I love myself
No matter where I am in life
No matter how they judge me
I love myself
No matter what I say or do

Praying silent
Thankful for the tragedy that I have become

Ode to my own disarray
I salute you!
