Ode To Summer Poem by Grace Dubsky

Ode To Summer

Rating: 5.0

As spring days come to an end,
Summer vacation is here.
I'll get to see lots of friends
And celebrate with cheer.

Oh summer how I adore you so,
Spend my days in the sand.
Never have to deal with snow,
The weather is quite grand.

Stay up late and sleep in too
The day lasts forever.
The sunset many hues,
I get to play whenever.

Three months only in time
Gotta make this summer last.
Hopefully I'll be in my prime,
It will be a blast.

Oh, yes! If only it were summer now! It snowed here just last night. I really enjoyed reading this poem. Welcome to Poem Hunter!

Well expressed thoughts and feeling nicely embellished in poetic rhyme and rhythm. A beautiful creation written with conviction. Thanks for sharing Grace.
