Oder Over Chaos Poem by Sally Ekanayaka

Oder Over Chaos

You ain't got not the slightest notion
How my persuasion can build a nation
So try not to kill another's dream and elation
Coz u despite the outcome of this election!
Surely u knew Rome wasn't built overnight?
Took ten years for Edison's bulb to light
Yet, you expect Mahindha to get it all right!
Miracles can't be performed, so you put up a fight!
Wondered what EVIL truly stand for?
Spell it backward and thy shall know
Within each of us lies a little or more
Though you notice those only of the foe!
Change and power comes at a cost
But not necessarily mean all is lost
Every ruler is flawed, history will boast
Making most of their new acquired post
Pray! look beyond these humanly flaws
You'll see a man with an honest cause
To him I raise my hands in applause
For advancement this nation clearly shows
Brothers of a kind dispute with one another
For its about one self that they most bother
Disagreement and overruling one should smother
To override this chaos and bring in order
