Gazing at th'Aegean,
I observe dolphins at play:
bursting from a wine-dark sea,
an explosion of water & light
bodies hurtling skyward
kissing heavens...
For a moment at least
I am glad of my sight,
grateful for a gift
I might remember
when I am old & infirm
& lacking all hope of benevolence.
